Adventure

Living in the mountains means that adventure is really just a short drive, or a hike away. There is so much natural beauty everywhere and it is always begging to be explored. The myth about nature is that you have to dress as in all of this technical clothing just to go on a short hike. Most of that clothing is really uninspired and unflattering. Yes if you're going on an all day hike or overnight excursion you should have technical clothing and purpose built footwear (and we will cover how to make that look great later on) but for a short hike you dont need to change out of what you would be wearing for the day.

The biggest piece of advice is to dress comfortably. Yes baggy sweatpants with coffee stains are comfy but they aren't flattering. So, dress comfortably but flatter yourself. You never know who you might be exploring with. Stretchy denim is a great material because it is really durable without sacrificing mobility and it makes you look great. Paired with an over length flared jacket for the cooler months you will still have mobility in your upper legs while continuing to accentuate your body. Accessories for these excursions are easy. You mainly just want to make sure that you have a nice bag to carry your essentials, like a camera to capture the landscape surrounding you.
